[News]Ivy Is Back with MC Mong

ivy korean Pictures, Images and Photos

Her comeback to the entertainment industry was announced quite a while ago, and her battle against Lee Hyori was predicted among the fans. The battle is yet to start, but IVY couldn't wait to present to the audience.

IVY took her first step to her comeback by participated in MC Mong's new album, Humanimal Repackage, even if her own album hasn't been out yet. She successfully featured the song "I Am....", written by MayBee, The lyrics contain a heartfelt story about a couple facing the reality of their breakup.

MC Mong's agency stated "After receiving the demo CD, we tried to come up with a female vocalist who can feature this song perfectly. We believed it was an ideal song for IVY, and there was no doubt about it. We decided no other female artists can digest this song as well as IVY, and we weren't hesitant to ask her. After listening to the song, she favored it personally and managed to participate despite her busy schedule due to her new upcoming album. Her matured singing especially stood out in this song, and it will touch millions of our fans." In my opinion, among the countless female vocalists that have worked with MC Mong, IVY was the best to bring out her style of music while featuring.

IVY and MC Mong worked together as a duet since 2006. Their ensemble of two different, yet similar, styles of voice were shown for the song "Naughty Movie" listed in MC Mong's third album.
Meanwhile, MC Mong's fifth album is expected to be released on October 6th, with 3 new songs alongside the 15 original songs. No one can be sure if MC Mong will survive through the tough competition between the idol groups nowadays.

[news] IVY is toiling away

It’s a countdown to the finish line, the finish line being her grand comeback. We’ve been hearing snippets here and there of the diva’s impending return to the stage and now we have something to substantiate those rumors.

The 30-day countdown to the release of her 3rd album officiated the opening of her website. Riding up to her comeback date at the end of this month, IVY will be uploading behind-the-scenes footage of her album preparations. The clips will publicize a ssaeng ul (without make-up) IVY practising for album recordings and dance choreography.

It was also reported that 30,000 people flooded the site on its first day. Seems like tons of people are looking forward to her return. As are many others who are anticipating Hyori’s comeback this month. FYI, our other favorite diva is in the midst of completing her 4th album which should drop within the month – sources say she will shift away from Mnet Media as soon as her contract’s up in November.

Before the war of the divas sets in, be sure to check out IVY’s website and leave a word or two of encouragement. And do look out for more updates along the way!

[news] Ivy says she's nervous for her comeback after almost 3 years

Singer Ivy on Tuesday said she is nervous for her comeback, speaking to fans officially for the first time in over two and a half years.

"I had some trouble recording [my album] because I hadn't done it in a while so it felt awkward," the 26-year-old singer wrote on her official website revealing the process of her third album in the works.

"I hadn't sung properly in front of a mic for a long time and I couldn't really get into what I was singing because I was nervous," she went on to say. "But I told myself 'You're singing -- something you wanted to do for so long!' and successfully finished recording."

Ivy asked fans to "wait just a little longer" for her comeback. "I am preparing nervously everyday to complete my third album...... I hope you're looking forward to it a lot and I ask for your support too," she wrote.

Ivy also recently collaborated with singer MC Mong to do a featuring for a song in the repackaged version of his fifth album set for release early next month, signaling she will soon return to the stage.

Ivy, whose real name is Park Eun-hye, had been off the radar since 2007 over problems with a former boyfriend who threatened her with videos and disputes with her management agency.

The singer of hit song "Sonata of Temptation" was reported to have resumed production of an album she had quit working on last year.

Some of you may not know this, but Ivy and her current boyfriend were in charge of SNSD's "Dear.Mom" under the pseudonym, "The Lighthouse". I am excited to see her return to the stage after so long, maybe CSJH the Grace can comeback with her since they both have not released anything in Korea since around the same time...

[news] Ivy and Wheesung side by side?

Ah, one cannot read their names and not think of the mess of a scandal that led singer Ivy to lie way below the Kpop radar 2 years ago. For the time being, we can hope that they will let bygones be bygones. It’s been a while since we saw their names together side by side, and coincidentally both Ivy and Wheesung will be making their respective comebacks in October. Needless to say, fans’ expectations are high as both artists are attracting extraordinary attention. Looks like it’s going to be hot this fall!

Wheesung returns on October 8 with his 6th album “Vocolate”, which is comprised of “Vocal” and “Chocolate”. There will be a total of 12 tracks, and as typical of Wheesung, the album will have R&B numbers as well as ballads and dance tracks. Plus, we’ve got his American debut with Universal Music and producer Rodney Jerkins (Dark Child) to look forward to as well.

Ivy, whose comeback has been highly anticipated, will once again make her splash onto the Kpop scene in late October. Ivy’s homepage launches today and will showcase her reign back in 2007, the ‘Ivy Syndrome’ with her 2nd album craze, as it leads up to her comeback. Her homepage will introduce undisclosed photos, rehearsal clips, and choreography practices—essentially a behind-the-scenes documentary during the making of her third album. The website will continuously be updated for the next 30 days and is the only place where fans can connect and keep track of the singer’s preparation for her re-appearance to the Kpop scene.

Let’s all hope for a more amicable professional relationship between these two! They’re both talented performers in their own right and it’d be a shame to let their private lives overshadow their careers again.

D Chocolate E&TF, Ivy's agency, said, "She is dedicating herself to singing and dancing before her official comeback. The Web site will become the only forum where fans will be able to see her lively and plain appearances."

Ivy, 27, has been off the radar since 2007 due to conflicts that arose after Ivy's former boyfriend threatened her with the release of sex videos.

She made her debut in 2005 with her first album, "My Sweet and Free Day." The album was a minor hit and after a one-year hiatus, she released her second album, "A Sweet Moment," which spawned the hit "Sonata of Temptation."
