Q: What makes you happy while staying in Japan?
YB: I share a room with D-Lite in our apartment. And, the fact that we cook our breakfast together, I guess that’s what makes us happy the most. (Laughs)
Q: So you guys both cook?
YB & DS: Yes, we do!
Q: What’s your specialty?
YB: Yakiniku! Of course it’s just pan-frying meat. (Laughs)
Q: About your second single Gara Gara Go – what do you think?
GD: We thought the songwriter really knew what Big Bang liked and we did a good job interpreting it. We usually listen to diverse genres of music and just love songs of that style. We had a great time recording it.
YB: Because this was our second single after our major label debut, we really wanted to bring you something better. Also because this is an upbeat dance tune written to make people want to dance from the beginning to the end, we kept that in mind while recording.
Q: We expect the performance to be pretty exciting too!
YB: Yes. It's likely to be a performance with a focus on dancing. When we perform this song at a concert, we expect the members of the audience to dance with us, and it would be great performance-wise if the entire audience could dance and sing together.
Q: I understand that you guys are working on your next album and will stay up all night tonight. Guess you work really hard.
YB: The songs we work on right now, the overall style is… There’re actually many different styles – we have some upbeat dance tunes and some very trendy numbers. There’re also more songs like Gara Gara Go that would be perfect for summer and songs that are perfect to listen to while driving.
This Month’s Mission: What You Want to Try This Summer - Your New Challenge!!
SOL/YB
I hear there are lots of interesting festivals in Japan - I'd really love to go to a summer festival. We live in Japan now and we're having so much fun doing new things every day including shopping, which actually makes me want to travel more widely and experience a wide variety of cultures.
GD
My solo album is due out this summer – that would be a great challenge for me. I’m so busy these days and barely have time to travel but I'd really love to travel anywhere in Japan with the other members. Please let me know if you have a good place to recommend.

I’d love to have a campfire with our fans. We could have a really good time singing and dancing to Gara Gara Go. Why do I want a campfire? Because I miss my school days so much!
D-LITE/DS
I want to go Japanese hot springs sometime. I recently read about a hot spring with a view of Mount Fuji and really want to go there. There's an old saying in Korea - "Fight off heat with heat." I want to sweat the heat off! I also want to travel by car. Skiing sounds great too!
VI/SR
I really want to go to the ocean this summer – especially the beaches in Okinawa. I've been to Okinawa once for work but didn't have time to spare at the time. I'd love to go back and see that beautiful ocean again. Our new single Gara Gara Go is perfect for summer – it’d be great if we could sing that song with the audience at a concert.
