DJ Tukutz has officially left for the military as a married man! Though we won’t see Epik High as a whole for awhile, I only wish the best for him and his new wifey.

DJ Tukutz reported for his military service on 15th October at 8am in GyeongGi IlJungBoo replacement centre.

He previously got married on 13th October. He revealed, “It is hard to spend only such a short time after my wedding before my military enlistment. I thought of what I want to promise my wife and we decided on our marriage.”

Meanwhile, Epik High has ended their promotion for their comeback 6th album ‘[e]‘ with news that Tukutz will be heading for his military enlistment.

Since the announcement of Tablo’s marriage & DJ Tukutz’ engagement announcement and military listing, Epik High has decided to to suspend all activities until the return of the DJ.

Military service is required for all Korean men & even male celebrities aren’t been exempt from it. DJ Tukutz will formally enter the service next week and, last Wednesday he posted a statement on their fan cafe saying that “I will leave just for awhile.”
Tablo ended any rumors of the group disbanding by releasing another statement on his blog saying, “There is no such thing as an end.”

Hip hop group Epik High member Tablo will be holding his wedding with actress Kang HyeJung on 26th October at 2pm.

Previously in September, Tablo announced on Epik High’s official website MapTheSoul the news of Kang HyeJung’s pregnancy and also news that the couple will be getting married within this year. And the date of their wedding has been chosen.

Initially with Epik High releasing their new album and doing promotions, it is hard to decide on their wedding date. But recently with the news of member DJ Tukutz’s wedding and military enlistment news, Epik High will be saying goodbye for now as Tukutz enlist for military service, and hence Tablo can more decide on the wedding date more freely.

The news of their wedding date was known through Tablo’s close friend Gil. Gil said on tvN ENews on 9th October, “Tablo and Kang HyeJung will be holding their wedding on 26th October.”

Meanwhile, member DJ Tukutz will be getting married with his girlfriend, 2 years older than him, on 13th October and will enlist for military service on 15th October.

Group Epik High member DJ Tukutz (Kim JungSik, 28) will be getting married with a female 2 years older than himself on 13th October.

He posted the news of his upcoming wedding and also the date of his enlistment for military duty on 7th October on Epik High’s official site.

He wrote, “I will be enlisting for military service coming 15th October. Before I get enlisted, I would like to relay the happiest news of my life. I finally get to make the promise of ‘Stand By Me’ with my love of 10 years real.”


He continued, “Even though I don’t know if people will think of this as convenience, I’ve decided to make a lifetime promise with the girl I love. I, Kim JungSik, is getting married.”

When one of the news media contacted Epik High’s side, they said, “DJ Tukutz’s date of military enlistment came too sudden, that is why there is a rush for him to do the wedding. Initially the plan is for him to get married after couple Tablo and Kang HyeJung did, but it seems that the date of his wedding has been pushed forward due to his military enlistment.”

Tablo also wrote about this on Mapthesoul.com in a post titled ‘3′.
