After his 1st solo mini album released last year, Taeyang will be releasing a new song ‘Where u at’ on 15th October. The song is written and composed by Teddy, the main composer of YG Entertainment.
Earlier there was some photo teasers of his new second solo album, and today YG has once again released another teaser. “Where U At” is a digital single that will be released today, October 15th on online Korean music portals at 11:00am.
“Where U At” will be only a digital single, meaning there will be no promotions for it. However it has been released by YG, that his second single is titled, “Wedding Dress” and will be coming this November 11th. This song will be the ‘title song’ that will be promoted on music shows, radio shows, etc. Below is the new teaser photo!

Boy band Big Bang’s TaeYang is coming back as a solo artist after 1 year and 5 months.

His new single, "Where U At" will be released on the 15th. Last year, with his first mini album, “HOT,” containing such hit singles as “Look Only at Me" and “Prayer,” TaeYang made a strong impression on both critics and the public. He successfully broke the mold of a lead vocalist of a popular boy band and garnered both critical acclaim and popular success as a serious musician.

Last year, he topped various music and TV show charts for several weeks and won awards at the Korean Music Awards, where the winners are selected by music critics. When he held his first solo concerts last year, he made one of the shows only for adults, making a bold attempt to communicate with the older generations, breaking the mold of the so-called “idol star.”

The famous dancers from abroad who appear in the "Where U At" music video to be released on the 15th (reportedly) praised him non-stop saying, “TaeYang is better than any professional dancer we have ever seen. It’s absurd that a singer is this good a dancer!”


“Where U At” was written and composed by Teddy, who has made a hit after hit, including TaeYang's "Look Only at Me" and "Prayer" and 2NE1's "Lollypop," “Fire” and “I Don't Care.” The magical pairing of TaeYang and Teddy is making people wait with high anticipation.

The lyrics for “Where U At” were written based on the fact that TaeYang, who’s 21, has never had a girlfriend, and will ring true to the listeners as they truthfully describe TaeYang's real-life situation that he dreams of a girl who must be somewhere in the world and whom he will meet someday.

With TaeYang coming back as a solo artist, competition among Big Bang members is expected to ensue with G-Dragon already dominating various charts with his first solo album. However, don't hold your breath - you won't see any off-line showdown between those two.

YG Entertainment says, “’Where U At’ will only be a sort of preview for TaeYang’s full album to be released on a later date and at this point we have absolutely no plan for promotional activities or appearances on TV shows.”

That is because his second digital single and the title song of the album, "Wedding Dress" is going to be released early November. Therefore, his promotion period will be from mid November through end of the year.

You will be able to get a taste of “Wedding Dress” toward the end of the "Where U At" music video.

There had been a rumor that TaeYang’s first full-length album would be released in October following G-Dragon's first solo album released in August. What exactly TaeYang has up in his sleeves releasing two digital singles first makes people curious. This is what makes people suspect that YG Entertainment might be planning a blockbuster promotional strategy.

TaeYang caused a sensation in the markets for male solo artists last year. Now he is coming back after 1 year and 5 months. He is already making many people curious as to what kind of new style and music he will bring to touch their hearts and wait with a high level of anticipation.

Big Bang member Tae-yang will release his new solo single next week, according to his agency on Thursday.

"The digital version of the song and music video for 'Where U At' will be revealed on October 15," said YG Entertainment. The 21-year-old singer had finished shooting the music video in late September.

The song, written by Teddy who has penned several of Big Bang and girl group 2NE1's hit songs, is a reflection of Tae-yang's actual situation where he longs to meet his future woman.

YG, however, said the singer will not promote the song in any way or appear on television to perform the song since it will only be the prelude to Tae-yang's first regular solo album set for release later in the year.

"'Wedding Dress', the official title song for Tae-yang's album, will be out in early November so he will start promoting his album between mid to late November also," explained YG.

Tae-yang is a member of the popular five-member group -- composed also of G-Dragon, Dae-sung, TOP and Seung-ri -- which has seen continuous success with their music career since debuting in 2006.

Big Bang TaeYang and SHINee will come back for a showdown again after 1 year and 5 months.

Both SHINee and TaeYang will be releasing new albums coming October. Last year, on 22nd May, it was the day when TaeYang had his solo debut and SHINee had their debut. And after 1 year and 5 months, they will be back with a showdown again.

After his 1st solo minialbum released last year, TaeYang will be releasing a new song ‘Where u at’ on 15th October. The song is written and composed by Teddy, the main composer of YG Entertainment.

At 22 years old but still have not gotten into a love relationship before, the lyrics to the song ‘Where u at’ talks about longing and imagination of the other half.

Big Bang TaeYang will be releasing his 2nd solo album this autumn.

Yang HyunSeok left a message on YG Entertainment official homepage on 24th September saying, “Mid-October, TaeYang will be releasing a digital album and MV to comeback title ‘Where U At’.:

But the date for TaeYang’s full length 2nd album release has yet been confirmed.

According to YG, TaeYang will be promoting for a longer period of time as compared to his 1st solo album activities. YG also revealed that they will take on a multi-angle approach to TaeYang’s promotions this time round.

He added, “The filming for TaeYang’s ‘Where U At’ MV will take place this weekend (3rd week of September), together with director Seo HyunSeung.”

Big Bang TaeYang revealed the process of how he got to today from when he was a tone-deaf and body-deaf individual before debut. [In other words, he was not good at music and body building]

TaeYang revealed that before he had the dream to be a singer, he had almost no capability in dancing. This shows how much hard work and effort was put in to produce that level of dance skills and powerful vocal which he put up for his solo debut song ‘Look Only At Me’.

He participated in the filming of hip hop group Jinusean’s MV as a child actor, which sparked his interest to be a singer. He approached Yang Hyun Seok personally for that.

TaeYang is known for his sexy image even though he does not have experiences in love relationships (BGR). But TaeYang’s popularity was great even before his debut. From during middle school, there were many girls and fans who had gone to see him during weekends. He even had male fans since then.


He is close to fellow member G-Dragon. A pastor to TaeYang during his middle school said, “If JiYoung (G-Dragon) is a brave general, YongBae will be the top soldier. The two share a very special relationship, it is not totally like a brother’s relationship for them.”

According to YG, Tae Yang’s 1st full solo album will be released earliest end Oct and latest early Nov 2009. G-Dragon, who released his solo album ‘Heartbreaker’ last month, will continue his solo activities till November.

This implies that there is a high possibility that Tae Yang & GD will be ‘rivals’ onstage in November. YG elaborated that GD will be promoting various songs on his album and thus the 2 best friends will have ongoing solo activities at the same time.

Since Tae Yang was also featured in GD’s album, there is a huge possibility that they may be performing the song, Korean Dream, together on stage during year end!

With Big Bang postponing practically all of their activities due to Daesung’s situation, YG isn’t about to just let them stand by and rake in nothing but leaves this Fall right? Which is why this is the perfect time for the members to work on their solo projects. G-Dragon is currently enjoying his first ever solo venture and now it has been announced that Taeyang will come out again to his 2nd album this October.

That’s a planned full length album in less than a month. However, even with some songs already completed and on standby, Yang Hyun Suk himself acknowledges that delays and push backs are inevitable so they might release a digital single before the album drops.


I still have “Look Only At Me” playing on my iPod everyday so Taeyang, please get me out of 2008 and into 2009 (which is about to end soon, ha!) with another hot new single. I’m hoping he releases something while G-Dragon is still on the scene. G-D vs Taeyang. If that happens, it could be the best duke out I’ve seen since Pumpkin spit in New York’s face on Flavor of Love. Big Bang TaeYang will release a full-length album for his next solo single album.

Yang HyunSeok representative of YG Entertainment said in an recent interview, “We have produced many songs for the full length album.”

TaeYang released his first solo minialbum ‘HOT’ last May and was the first member out of Big Bang to have his solo debut. He also did his solo promotions for the title song ‘Look Only At Me’ and has won #1 on music shows for 2 weeks consecutively back then.

Representative Yang said about TaeYang’s new album, “We have plans for it to be released in October, but there may more or less be some delays. That’s why we are thinking about whether to release one song first as a digital single.”

TaeYang has received much love for his solo promotions previously, and much anticipation is for his new solo album.

G-Dragon finally had his solo stage debut today on Inkigayo and the boy did not disappoint. Reportedly, some members of the YG family came out for support including Teddy, Danny, and fellow Big Bang Taeyang. Even Uhm Jung Hwa showed her support with hopes that GD will be able to enjoy this opportunity for him to shine.

As for the stage itself, he pulled off his outfits pretty well (but are those aren’t apples on his pants, they’re tomatoes!). I liked his stage props (that apple at the beginning was schweet!) and the way his hair glows with the lighting on stage. I’m diggin’ his hair a lot! G-Dragon pre-recorded his performance of the songs “Heartbreaker” and “Breathe” in front of a crowd of 500 fans (about 1000 waited for him outside the SBS studio to show their support). These two aren’t exactly my favorite songs from the album (I’ll have to cross my fingers for him to bring out “The Leaders” next) but he performed them well, especially “Breathe”. He looked like he had a lot of fun with it.

On August 24th. So soon!The charismatic boys of Big Bang will return to their homeland for the first time in four months from their successful Japanese debut.

A lucky 400 person audience will witness the boys’ sure-to-be powerful performance on August 24th in Seoul’s HongDae SangSangMaDang’s Live Hall. Unfortunately, it won’t be easy getting tickets as the audience will be chosen randomly through a computerized selection of Cafe Latte consumers.


Also, vocalist Dae-sung will be unable to perform as he’s still recuperating from his surgery.

Group Big Bang, which made its successful debut in Japan, will be back to meet their Korean fans in Korea.

Big Bang will be holding a mini concert in Seoul HongDae SangSangMaDang’s live hall on 26th August. The 400 strong audience which get to see the boys perform at the concert will be decided through a computerized selection system for Cafe Latte consumers.


This will be the first time the boys perform on the Korean stage after 4 months since their previous Hite guerilla concert. But member DaeSung will not be performing for the mini concert on that day as he is still in recuperation from his recent accident.

Meanwhile, Big Bang’s first official album released in Japan on 19th August went up to Oricon chart at #2 position.
