Hyori’ [News]Surprise Visit to SuperStar K Dorms Warms Hearts

Singer Lee Hyori paid a surprise visit to the dorms for participants of SuperStar K. In order to give some support those those participants, she went to the dorms on September 8th and spent a wonderful time there.

According to staff members, Hyori set out for the dorms right after recording for Family Outing. She stayed there until very late in the night, and gave them support as a senior in the music industry and friend, amongst the other roles she took on that day. While there, she unhesitatingly talked about her past experience and passed on other tips she had for performing.

She also monitored the September 4th live broadcast with participants that did not watch it before. Hyori tipped them on stage etiquette and how to find the correct camera, as well as how to deal with emergency procedures that arise. She also suggested that “even if it’s just a rehearsal, you still have to treat it like the real broadcast.”

SuperStar K’s PD, Kim Yong Bum, expressed that after the last broadcast ended, the participants were all suffering because “they had to send away someone with whom they have seen everyday for a month. They also haven’t seen their family and relatives in a long time, in order to practice and prepare. Participants’ were feeling very down after that broadcast; even staff members were worried for them.”

He added, thanking Hyori, “However, after Hyori’s trip, the atmosphere became a lot better.”

Aside from this, the director also said that, “We thank Hyori for sharing her experiences and professional skills as a senior with more than 10 years of experience in the industry. We’re very grateful that Hyori visited them even though she was exhausted as well.”
