[NEWS] 090910 DBSK/THSK/TVXQ U-know Yunho, “Text messages from fans gave me a lot of energy”

With his debut as an actor, U-know Yunho from TVXQ gained a lot of energy from the fans’ encouraging text messages.

U-know Yunho, who acts as soccer player Cha Bong Gun from the new MBC drama “Heading to the Ground,” had received over 100 text messages on his mobile phone and all of them were encouragement from fans. The fans had his mobile number ever since the beginning of TVXQ’s activities, and were continuously sending text messages to Yunho, whose first drama started airing last 9th of September 2009. The contents were all “Cha Bong Gun, fighting!” to support and cheer for him.

The staff of “Heading to the Ground” said, “Yunho mentioned that the messages from fans gave him a lot of encouragement. He also said that there’s normally a premonition that whenever he felt unwell during a large-scale performance, it would be a success. This time around, he wasn’t feeling very well; therefore, it’s a good omen.”

Since it’s his debut as an actor, Yunho also had to make good use of his interpersonal skills. During the filming last week, Cho Jaejin (soccer player who’s currently with Gamba Osaka of Japan) came to visit Yunho to show his support, and this attracted much attention. They have a close relationship, often meeting up privately, and are good friends.

Other than that, Yunho has many friends and therefore, “Heading to the Ground” posters could be found at hospitals, schools, hotels, etc. Yunho’s relatives expressed, “We will help you promote the drama,” and they personally came to pick up the posters to be put up at their working place.

One of the staff members hinted, “Thanks to Yunho, the demand for the posters were over its supply, and we were rushing to reproduce them.”
