The name list for this year’s China-South Korea Music Festival has been confirmed, and after 13 amendments, TVXQ’s name has been taken off the list.
The participants from South Korea include: Super Junior-M, SS501, Lee Jung Hyun, Jewelry, RYAN, YEOUL, Kan Mi Yeon, Koo Jun Yup, f(x).
Initially, the China’s broadcasting station extended invitations to TVXQ, but they were eventually rejected.

Yup, SM artists are more well known, but I think also because f(x) and Suju all have Chinese artists, Hankyung, Victoria and Amber (Chinese-American)... and many artists under SM studied Chinese...I wonder why SNSD is not on the list though...

KARA is more famous in Japan than any other KPOP girl group, they'll debut in Japan by the end of the year.
DSP media doesn't really target the Chinese market except for SS501 who started promoting there a little.
