Due to release their newest mini-album on the 19th this month, SHINee recently accepted an exclusive interview with SOHU Korea. This is the second meeting between SOHU and SHINee, since the last interview in September 2008, and one year was all it took for the five boys to mature and shed the cute image they had during their debut days.

When talking about the soon-to-be released mini-album, members said: “We’ll show off a more mature, manly kind of style.”

SHINee: (Bows) Hello everyone, we’re SHINee!


SOHU: This is the second time interviewing SHINee since the Shanghai stop of the SMTOWN concert last year in September. Has everyone’s Chinese improved since then? Can you guys show off what you’ve learnt, then?


Jonghyun: Then, let’s say whatever Chinese words that are appearing in our minds right now!


Onew: Hmmm… For me, I’ll almost always think of “I Love You” first.


Jonghyun: Ah, you seem to keep repeating that.


Onew: Then what are you thinking of?


Jonghyun: (Chinese) 我想你 I miss you. It means that I miss everyone. Then… how about Key?


Key: (Chinese) 你很漂亮 You are pretty. It means “pretty”, right?


Jonghyun: Ah, it means pretty? (Turns to Key) You’re very pretty.


Taemin: As for me, because I really want to go to China… (Chinese) 我想去中國 “I want to go to China”.


Jonghyun: Ah, wanting to go to China! (Everybody joins in)


Minho: Me…


Jonghyun: You wouldn’t say stuff like “I’m hungry”, or anything like that, would you?


Minho: No, no, that’d be too direct. (Chinese) 請支持我們 “Please support us”.


Jonghyun: And that’s what we’ve learnt.


SOHU: Now what everyone’s most concerned about is the soon-to-be-released mini-album. Can you guys tell us about the concept? From your images to the styles of the songs, will they be more mature?


Jonghyun: For this mini-album, all of us will undergo a huge change, and show everyone sides of us that haven’t been seen before. So please anticipate it, everyone. And Onew will tell us about the concept this time round, just to reveal a tiny bit.


Onew: For the songs this time round, the vocal ranges will be lowered just a little, and the choreography of the dance will help to show off our stylish and cool sides, along with the melody of the song. So everyone, just have a little more patience and wait a little more, please!


Jonghyun: We’re manlier this time, that should be it.


Key: Also, we hear that our ROMEO album is going to be released for sale soon in China, so please support us.


SOHU: You guys have lots of fans in Mainland China, and recently you’ve been to Taiwan for promotional activities as well. Have you guys ever thought of returning to China another time, to meet with your fans again?


Jonghyun: Definitely, if we have the time and the opportunity. We really wish to be able to travel to different countries and areas to meet our international fans. And every time we manage to do so, we get to experience their passion and energy, and we’ll be really happy and gain lots of strength from our fans too.


Onew: We’ve been on promotional activities in Taiwan, Thailand and Japan, and we’ve been thinking of China, so we hope to go back someday.


SOHU: Fans have been saying, SHINee is really good-looking, but they’re too thin, and they worry for your health. How do you guys usually keep healthy?


Jonghyun: We get our strength from rice, usually, right? (Everyone laughs) When you get full from eating rice, you’ll be healthy.


Taemin: We have our proper three meals everyday, and we don’t snack either. Thank you everyone for your concern.


Jonghyun: That’s true, and we have sufficient rest as well. When we have time, we’ll chat and having this type of healthy mindset, is the key to having good health, right?


SOHU: The photobook shoots in New Zealand were very stylish indeed. Were there any funny incidents during the trip there?


Jonghyun: We spent a week in New Zealand, and experienced the local culture there. Onew, what was the thing that left the deepest impression on you?


Onew: It has to be the food; I remember the seafood there so well…


Jonghyun: Yes yes, it was really delicious. Key?


Key: The New Zealand landscape was really special, so to me it was more than enough that I had the chance to go there. And we took the chance to rest as well.


Jonghyun: Uh huh, what about Minho?


Minho: The scenery of New Zealand was eye opening for me, and ever since we returned I’ve started to like sleeping early because of the jetlag and time difference.


SOHU: Ever since SHINee’s debut, you guys have been really fashionable. Are there any fashion tips you want to share?


Jonghyun: Ah… Key will answer this question!


Key: If you have to talk about the secret to being fashionable, our album concepts actually influence our personal dressing styles. Like we wore lots of accessories for the JULIETTE concept, so I wear lots of trinkets and stuff when I dress for going out too.


Jonghyun: Uh huh, it does seem to be so.


Key: And if I don’t wear so many accessories, I’d feel like my arm’s really empty and there’s no sense of style at all. (Raises his hand up) For example, I’m only wearing two bands now, and I feel that they aren’t enough. Maybe it’s the lingering influence from our previous concept, so I really feel that our concepts influence our personal tastes in fashion.


SOHU: Members of idol groups have been setting foot in the acting industry recently. Do the members of SHINee have any plans to act as well?


Jonghyun: Our Taemin has already taken on that challenge!


Taemin: I’ve acted in the sitcom [Taehee Hyekyo Jihyun], and although it was just for a short period of time, but I still managed to learn more about acting, and got new experience as well. I’ve learnt so much from the acting sunbaes. If there are opportunities, the members of SHINee will do their best to try out acting as well.


SOHU: Lastly, say hi to your fans in China!


Onew: We’ll be coming back with our third mini-album very, very soon, at the end of October, and our albums will also start to be sold in China, so please support SHINee like always, thank you very much! (Bows)

Super Junior member Kangin just can't seem to stay out of trouble. After promising that he would not cause any more problems, he gets slapped with a case of DUI.

At 3:10am on the 16th, an intoxicated Kangin crashed into a taxi at the junction of Nonhyun and Hakdong in Gangnam, Seoul, and then abandoned his car before running away.

There were two passengers along with the cab driver involved in the accident although it was fortunate that no one suffered any major injuries.

Although Kangin had abandoned the scene of the accident, he turned himself in at the Gangnam police station at 8:50am. It was reported that his BAC level was at 0.082%, but that was 6 hours after the accident so it's not an accurate reflection of his intoxication.

A representative from the police station stated:
"We can take into consideration the fact that Kangin has confessed, even though it was some time after the incident. However, since he had fled the scene after the accident, we have to consider it as a hit and run. We will release more information in the afternoon."

The 5 member boy group, SHINee is releasing their 3rd mini-album ‘2009, Year Of Us’ on October 19 and they do have a plan to conquer this later half of the year and make it theirs.

The single, Ring Ding Dong, that was released on October 14 has been receiving alot of love from the public. Especially with the help of famous composers like Yoo Young Jin and Kenzie, the mini-album is really something to be anticipated.

The album consists of 6 tracks. SHINee is dedicating the song ‘Y.O.U. (Year Of Us)’ to their fans while ‘Jo Jo’, composed by popular composer Kenzie, is a trendy Euro-pop dance and ‘SHINee Girl’ is a fun song with Swing beats. The remaining tracks are in a variety of genres that help illuminate SHINee’s new charm.

f(x)’s Luna is joining Key and Minho in a powerful track, ‘Get Down’, while Onew has his first ever solo – a sad love song called ‘The Name That I Loved.’

After the release of the teaser video on October 15, SHINee is scheduled for their comeback stage on Music Bank on October 16 and the release of their music video on the same date. Don’t forget to keep an eye out.

After a much hyped release of the song Ring Ding Dong, SHINee announced the release date of their MV teaser to be on October 15 then followed by the release of the official MV on the 16, the same date as their debut stage on Music Bank.

The both the teaser and the actual MV will be released through various video sites so keep an eye on SM’s Youtube channel. The teaser should be out anytime now.

These "romantic" pictures were taken during the production of Here comes the green team variety program from KBS wich will be aired on the 25th of October. Here comes the green team has newly casted idol stars from idol groups namely Junho from 2pm, Minho from SHINee and Song Joong-ki.

Not quite what you were expecting? cant help but laugh by these pictures. Still, even if it seems wrong you cant admire how cute and good looking minho is from that picture! despite that he is being the "wife" and his err her husband is Lee Wan which is Kim Tae Hee's little brother.

Super Junior Kim HeeChul talks about f(x) member Sulli.

He wrote about his memory of f(x) Sulli on his minihompy on 14th October. He uploaded a photo taken together with f(x) and SHINee at the waiting room during Dream Concert, which Sulli has also uploaded on her me2day account, and said, “I will talk about Sulli.”

He wrote, “When I first saw Sulli, I was 23 and e was 12. Back then, many female trainee are cold to me because they thought I was scary, except for So Nyeo Shi Dae Jessica, and there was no female trainee whom I was close to.”

He added, “But some kid came up to me and said ‘Oppa hello’ and then started laughing happily away with ‘Hee hee hee hee’. I was flustered.”

MBC Drama Series “Heading To The Ground” will take its early ending bell on the 5th next month.

Initially “Heading To The Ground” is agreed to have 20 episodes broadcast time, however it will be cut to only 18 episodes instead.

MBC official on the 14th said “Due to the poor audience rating record, “Heading To The Ground” will be ended early on the 5th next month.” he added, “while as the consequence, Lee Junki’s drama “Heroes” will air a week early on the 11th.”

“Heading To The Ground” is not the first MBC drama whose episodes are cut due to the painful single digit rating.

Meanwhile “Heroes” will have Lee Jun Ki and Kim Min-jung as its main casts .

On the 10th of October in Seoul, SOHU Korea managed to snag a short interview with Super Junior-M before the beginning of Dream Concert 2009. Due to perform the title track of their new mini-album, , during the concert, this would be their first performance in Korea.

When speaking about this mini-album and the great results achieved in China by the group, leader Han Geng replied politely: “This mini-album is only the beginning.”

SOHU: First, we would like to congratulate you guys for releasing your latest mini-album, . The sales of this mini-album in areas such as Korea, Mainland China and Taiwan have been really good; can you tell us your feelings about this?

Han Geng: To be honest, we did not expect this first mini-album to be so widely received. To be able to achieve such good results in Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and other countries, this is all due to our fans supporting us, and we are very grateful. We wish to bring more great music and albums to everyone from now onwards.

SOHU: Ever since the release of the MV, many fans have left comments on the SOHU website. Some of them want to ask Han Geng, how does it feel like transforming from a geek to a prince?

Han Geng: I’ve always wanted to be an actor, and this role is rather silly and honest, and it’s also my first time acting such a character, so I feel it was interesting and quite fun. There are also some representative actions of this character, such as (he touches his eyebrows), this (he rubs his nose)… Keke, fun actions like these.

SOHU: Fans have also noticed the vast improvement in Siwon, Kyuhyun, Donghae and Ryeowook’s Mandarin! They have been asking for you guys to become “son-in-laws of China” (T/N: They literally want them to marry a Chinese lady), so how do you feel about that?

Donghae: That’s why! So as long as I truly like the other party, and we get along well, then we can be lovers. SOHU: Some fans feel that Henry has grown up to become a man, how does Henry feel?

Fans have asked me before, “Have you been dating lately?” But I haven’t, because everyone’s really busy. After releasing their "Chocolate Love" CF for Cyon's new Chocolate cellular phone, f(x) reveals a behind-the-scenes sneak peek of their "Chocolate Love" MV.


The video allows fans to view the different settings that will be used and I must say, it looks like pretty good eye-candy so far, especially the red balloon room. But mainly, the video focuses on the girls working hard through their dancing and bit of acting. This phone must be pretty good because throughout the video it shows the girls constantly playing with it on breaks. >>Surprised? so am I. When i first saw the pictures i never thought they would come from Choi Siwon of super junior, quite unexpected if you ask me. The pictures he have taken are art for me, its not that easy to take random pictures and look good, it takes skill, focus and creativity.

These pictures were actually taken last year. The black and white theme creates a more nostalgic feel to the pictures. Even if those are just random shots taken by a photographer, only one with a creative mind can trully understand the meaning behind the picture.

It reflects the person's thinking and thoughts and when i saw the pictures, it made me think that there's something deeper about Choi Siwon that we dont know. He can not only sing and dance but can only shed his creativity into his passion and other interests besides performing.

A talented individual indeed. Not something you would expect from him huh? A guy with 6 pack abs and a killer smile. It just goes to show that there is more than meets the eye.

The K-pop Invasion continues! This time another K-pop album has reached the NUMBER ONE position in Odyssey Record Stores, one of the country's biggest record retail chains with more than 50 stores nationwide. The official chart was published in October 13th issue of Philippine Daily Inquirer.

The mini-album by Korean all-girl group Girls' Generation titled "Tell Me Your Wish-Genie" holds the distinction of being the FIRST female K-pop act's album to reach NUMBER ONE in Philippine Album Chart. This time the group is going with a marine girl concept for their album and photos of the girls in sailor uniforms are causing a stir among fans!

The Philippine edition of Girls' Generation "Tell Me Your Wish-Genie" includes a full color booklet similar to the Korean edition. Limited edition Girls' Generation colored poster will be given away free for every CD purchase EXCLUSIVELY in selected Odyssey Record outlets. New Chocolate CF Song "Chocolate Love" not so new?

Girls' Generation and f(x) have released their own unique and representative version of the song "Chocolate Love" in order to promote LG's new Chocolate phone for Cyon... but is it really unique?


I thought the song was a bit predictable at first, and after a while realized the beat was extremely similar to a song by former S Club 7 member, Rachel Stevens, "Sweet Dreams My LA EX."

Many of you may remember Rachel Stevens from the group S Club 7, that debuted in 1999 and had a string of hit TV shows and singles until their break-up in 2003. Rachel's first solo single, "Sweet Dreams My LA Ex,"was produced by Bloodshy & Avant and released in September 2003.

It just so happens that Bloodshy & Avant produced "Chocolate Love" for SNSD and f(x).

While both songs are not exactly the same, the similarities are quite obvious. Maybe it is a coincidence? Perhaps... but after finding out both songs were produced by Bloodshy & Avant, it makes me feel that SNSD and f(x) just received a recycled song... How do you guys feel?

Personally, I think they just changed the chorus around a bit, and made "Chocolate Love" sound less acoustic. In no way am I attacking SNSD or f(x), or accusing them of plagiarizing... but being a fan of S Club 7 when I was younger, it just clicked in my head.

It's that time of year again! SM Town is swinging by North America with their Global Auditions to find the next big star. They have just released a promotional video featuring SNSD highlighting the audition tour.





SNSD shows off their multi-lingual skills by reciting their messages in both English and Korean. Henry of Super Junior M and Amber of F(x) are mentioned as rising stars that were discovered during previous global auditons.

The tour will stop by Los Angeles, New York, Vancouver, and Toronto. Auditons are open to all nationalities and all ages.
