* The Official Ticket Launch is on 30 Jul 2011, 9.00am at *Scape and 10.00am via SISTIC online, hotline & outlets.

* First 500 tickets purchased at *Scape will be entitled to a 10% discount (excluding $138 category).

22 July 2011 (Singapore) – Anticipating a possible stampede for tickets to SHINee’s first concert in Singapore, concert organisers Running Into The Sun and Conceptual will be stepping up security efforts on 30 Jul 2011 (Sat) when ticket sales to the concert launches at *Scape, the Official Venue Partner for the concert. Tickets at *Scape will be made available at 9.00am, an hour earlier than Sistic which will release tickets at 10.00am via online, hotline & outlets.

Expecting a hoard of young fans at the youth organization, the 1st 500 tickets purchased at *Scape will also be entitled to a 10% discount (not applicable to $138 partially-restricted view seats), a move taken by concert organisers to assist young fans to enjoy the concert. For the young and ardent fans who would like to get upclose with their favourite boys, they are encouraged to purchase tickets at *Scape, where more than 1,000 mosh pit tickets will be allocated out of a limited 2,000 mosh pit tickets available.

F&N will be providing fan service, to keep the fans in the queue refreshed.

Tickets will be priced at $218 (Terrace and Mosh Pit), $168 (Balcony) and $138 (partially restricted). Each transaction is capped at a maximum of 4 tickets to prevent any bulk buys and black market reselling.




“We’ve taken additional measures to ensure safety for everyone in the queue - apart from sectioning queues and erecting barricades to avoid a stampede, we’ve also hired more than 12 well-trained security professionals just for this event,” said Wendy Ng, Producer from Running Into The Sun “Safety is our utmost concern for all fans and we hope this will be not only safe - but a fun gathering for all fans to celebrate SHINee’s first concert.”

Fans are encouraged to start queuing from 11.59pm onwards on 29th July when barricades and security measures are in place. Sale of tickets will begin at 9.00am sharp.

Since the announcement that SHINee will make its only stop in Southeast Asia for a one-night only concert at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 10 Sep 2011, concert organisers have received more than 800 requests from fans in Singapore and across the region, eagerly anticipating the official ticket launch details. A Facebook Event page has also been set up for the concert, which has attracted 500 confirmed guests within an hour. Overseas fans will be pleased to know that they will be able to purchase tickets online via www.sistic.com.sg

This is the second meeting between SOHU and SHINee, since the last interview in September 2008, and one year was all it took for the five boys to mature and shed the cute image they had during their debut days.

SOHU: This is the second time interviewing SHINee since the Shanghai stop of the SMTOWN concert last year in September. Has everyone’s Chinese improved since then? Can you guys show off what you’ve learnt, then?


Jonghyun: Then, let’s say whatever Chinese words that are appearing in our minds right now!


Onew: Hmmm… For me, I’ll almost always think of “I Love You” first.


Jonghyun: Ah, you seem to keep repeating that.


Onew: Then what are you thinking of?


Jonghyun: (Chinese) 我想你 I miss you. It means that I miss everyone. Then… how about Key?


Key: (Chinese) 你很漂亮 You are pretty. It means “pretty”, right?


Jonghyun: Ah, it means pretty? (Turns to Key) You’re very pretty.


Taemin: As for me, because I really want to go to China… (Chinese) 我想去中國 “I want to go to China”.


Jonghyun: Ah, wanting to go to China! (Everybody joins in)

Jonghyun: You wouldn’t say stuff like “I’m hungry”, or anything like that, would you?

SOHU: Now what everyone’s most concerned about is the soon-to-be-released mini-album. Can you guys tell us about the concept? From your images to the styles of the songs, will they be more mature?


Jonghyun: For this mini-album, all of us will undergo a huge change, and show everyone sides of us that haven’t been seen before. So please anticipate it, everyone. And Onew will tell us about the concept this time round, just to reveal a tiny bit.


Onew: For the songs this time round, the vocal ranges will be lowered just a little, and the choreography of the dance will help to show off our stylish and cool sides, along with the melody of the song. So everyone, just have a little more patience and wait a little more, please!


Jonghyun: We’re manlier this time, that should be it.


Key: Also, we hear that our ROMEO album is going to be released for sale soon in China, so please support us.


SOHU: You guys have lots of fans in Mainland China, and recently you’ve been to Taiwan for promotional activities as well. Have you guys ever thought of returning to China another time, to meet with your fans again?


Jonghyun: Definitely, if we have the time and the opportunity. We really wish to be able to travel to different countries and areas to meet our international fans. And every time we manage to do so, we get to experience their passion and energy, and we’ll be really happy and gain lots of strength from our fans too.


Onew: We’ve been on promotional activities in Taiwan, Thailand and Japan, and we’ve been thinking of China, so we hope to go back someday.


SOHU: Fans have been saying, SHINee is really good-looking, but they’re too thin, and they worry for your health. How do you guys usually keep healthy?


Jonghyun: We get our strength from rice, usually, right? (Everyone laughs) When you get full from eating rice, you’ll be healthy.


Taemin: We have our proper three meals everyday, and we don’t snack either. Thank you everyone for your concern.


Jonghyun: That’s true, and we have sufficient rest as well. When we have time, we’ll chat and having this type of healthy mindset, is the key to having good health, right?


SOHU: The photobook shoots in New Zealand were very stylish indeed. Were there any funny incidents during the trip there?


Jonghyun: We spent a week in New Zealand, and experienced the local culture there. Onew, what was the thing that left the deepest impression on you?


Onew: It has to be the food; I remember the seafood there so well…


Jonghyun: Yes yes, it was really delicious. Key?


Key: The New Zealand landscape was really special, so to me it was more than enough that I had the chance to go there. And we took the chance to rest as well.


Jonghyun: Uh huh, what about Minho?


Minho: The scenery of New Zealand was eye opening for me, and ever since we returned I’ve started to like sleeping early because of the jetlag and time difference.


SOHU: Ever since SHINee’s debut, you guys have been really fashionable. Are there any fashion tips you want to share?


Jonghyun: Ah… Key will answer this question!


Key: If you have to talk about the secret to being fashionable, our album concepts actually influence our personal dressing styles. Like we wore lots of accessories for the JULIETTE concept, so I wear lots of trinkets and stuff when I dress for going out too.


Jonghyun: Uh huh, it does seem to be so.


Key: And if I don’t wear so many accessories, I’d feel like my arm’s really empty and there’s no sense of style at all. (Raises his hand up) For example, I’m only wearing two bands now, and I feel that they aren’t enough. Maybe it’s the lingering influence from our previous concept, so I really feel that our concepts influence our personal tastes in fashion.


SOHU: Members of idol groups have been setting foot in the acting industry recently. Do the members of SHINee have any plans to act as well?


Jonghyun: Our Taemin has already taken on that challenge!


Taemin: I’ve acted in the sitcom [Taehee Hyekyo Jihyun], and although it was just for a short period of time, but I still managed to learn more about acting, and got new experience as well. I’ve learnt so much from the acting sunbaes. If there are opportunities, the members of SHINee will do their best to try out acting as well.


SOHU: Lastly, say hi to your fans in China!


Onew: We’ll be coming back with our third mini-album very, very soon, at the end of October, and our albums will also start to be sold in China, so please support SHINee like always, thank you very much! (Bows)

The 5 member boy group, SHINee is releasing their 3rd mini-album ‘2009, Year Of Us’ on October 19 and they do have a plan to conquer this later half of the year and make it theirs.

The single, Ring Ding Dong, that was released on October 14 has been receiving alot of love from the public. Especially with the help of famous composers like Yoo Young Jin and Kenzie, the mini-album is really something to be anticipated.

The album consists of 6 tracks. SHINee is dedicating the song ‘Y.O.U. (Year Of Us)’ to their fans while ‘Jo Jo’, composed by popular composer Kenzie, is a trendy Euro-pop dance and ‘SHINee Girl’ is a fun song with Swing beats. The remaining tracks are in a variety of genres that help illuminate SHINee’s new charm.

f(x)’s Luna is joining Key and Minho in a powerful track, ‘Get Down’, while Onew has his first ever solo – a sad love song called ‘The Name That I Loved.’

SHINee's second picture book "SHINee Night" has sold out seven days after its release on Sept. 23.

Their first photo book "SHINee Day" was published in July and sold out in five days. It is rare in the Korean entertainment industry for pop singers to have a hit with photo books.

The pictures of "SHINee NIGHT" were taken from the exotic and stylish streets of Auckland, New Zealand to portray the five members as "modern downtown boys," while SHINee emphasized purity by focusing on nature, farms and valleys in "SHINee Day."

A 40-minute-long DVD that contained various images and interviews of the five members was provided as a supplement to the book, making quite a splash.

To express their gratitude to the fans, SHINee is about to have a book signing event at the Grand Hall in Techno Mart Sindorim, southwestern Seoul, on Oct. 18.

The K-pop Invasion continues! This time another K-pop album has reached the NUMBER ONE position in Odyssey Record Stores, one of the country's biggest record retail chains with more than 50 stores nationwide. The official chart was published in October 13th issue of Philippine Daily Inquirer.

The mini-album by Korean all-girl group Girls' Generation titled "Tell Me Your Wish-Genie" holds the distinction of being the FIRST female K-pop act's album to reach NUMBER ONE in Philippine Album Chart. This is the second time a Korean artist zoomed to the number one spot, the first K-pop artist to make it to the top was Super Junior in September 2009.

A nine-piece girl group from South Korea, Girls' Generation, also known as SNSD (the acronym of So Nyeo Shi Dae) was formed in 2007 by SM Entertainment (South Korea's #1 record label/management agency), to go along with the company's other dance-pop group, the 13 member boy band Super Junior. Its members include (in order of official announcement) Yoona, Tiffany, Yuri, Hyoyeon, Sooyoung, Seohyun, Taeyeon (the leader) , Jessica, and Sunny. The group consists of members who speak English, Japanese, and Chinese in addition to Korean. Many of the girls have had prior experience in the entertainment world as actresses, VJs, singers and models. The group made their official debut in August 2007 with single "Into the New World " and released their first self-titled album in November 2007 (re-released as “Baby Baby” in March 2009). The album sold over 100,000 copies by April 2008, an impressive number in Korean music market. The girls were back in early 2009 with their mini-album "Gee". The title song was a huge hit, topping various musical charts, including a record-breaking #1 song for 9 consecutive weeks on KBS Music Bank, which started the whole K-pop girl group craze in Asia!

After releasing the first #1 K-pop album (Super Junior's "Sorry Sorry" CD) in the country, Universal Records is proud to announce the release of K-pop's #1 girl group Girls' Generations' 2nd mini album titled "Tell Me Your Wish-Genie". Originally released in June 2009, this mini-album is the group's 3rd release to reach 100,000 sales mark! The smash album includes the carrier single "Genie" written by the hitmakers Yoo Young-jin and Yoo Han-jin and the songwriter team "Design Music" plus five other sweet pop numbers of different styles. This time the group is going with a marine girl concept for their album and photos of the girls in sailor uniforms are causing a stir among fans!

The Philippine edition of Girls' Generation "Tell Me Your Wish-Genie" includes a full color booklet similar to the Korean edition. Limited edition Girls' Generation colored poster will be given away free for every CD purchase EXCLUSIVELY in selected Odyssey Record outlets.
