[News]Dae-sung unable to attend Asia song fest

Dae-sung, member of popular boy band Big Bang, will not be able to perform at the Asia Song Festival (ASF) this weekend, according to his agency on Friday.

The 20-year-old singer has not appeared on television since undergoing surgery in mid-August after fracturing his nose and orbital bones in a car accident while on his way back to Seoul from Gyeonggi Province after shooting SBS' TV show "Family Outing".

"He has almost fully recovered but we decided he is not ready to go on stage yet," an official at YG Entertainment told Asia Economic Daily over the phone.

YG announced earlier in the week that Dae-sung would resume his activities next week, starting with shooting with "Family", on which he makes a regular appearance.

The ASF, into its sixth year, is an annual song festival which brings together top artists from around Asia.

Big Bang,2NE1, Super Junior and Girls' Generation from Korea, Gackt and mihimaru GT from Japan, Chris Lee from China, Show Luo from Taiwan are among the several who will perform at the show on Saturday.

Awww, its so sad when Big Bang is not whole...but I really respect YG for letting Daesung rest and not beating all the energy out of him. Even if Daesung is not there, Big Bang will do great--as always, I'll look forward to this. Thanks for sharing this piece of info <3

That's the beauty of groups, they can cover for each other.

Daesung must've been really badly hurt for his recovery and treatment to take so long.
