[news] Is All Of 2PM On The Chopping Block?

…Apparently so because netizens have gone on the defensive against Wooyoung and Chansung. The two have publicly, yet subtly, stood behind their “fallen leader” Jaebum.

On their personal cyworld pages, each member has posted words of encouragement to 2PM supporters and small calls for peace amongst the angry antis.
Wooyoung posted…

“Thank You Hottest … 2PM is not 7, we are One.”

Chansung later posted…

“Let’s Walk Together” but, due to strong netizen backlash he removed his message and changed it to (!).

One netizen posted a comment to the likeness of “Walk together where, America?”
Due to the seriousness of the scandal, it’s very unlikely that any celebrities or public figures will comment either for or against the group unless things get too serious. In this case you can’t help but feel for the rest of the group. Yes, Jay’s situation is very unfortunate along with the fact that it is being pushed to extremes by netizens; but must the entire group take the blame? If they stand behind Jay and try to deflect the anger and hate campaign, they will be viewed as, I know this sounds extreme, “traitors to their country”. Those calling for 2PM’s disbandment and demanding Jay to “commit suicide” have clearly let their patriotic emotions get the best of them.

When I first heard about this incident I couldn’t help but think about instances in American history where those who criticized the country have been told to “Love It Or Leave It.” And yes I do know that criticizing a country and outright “bashing it” are two different things. But, they both still call for tolerance on the patriot’s part of other person’s opinions and feelings. It is clear that during the time the comments were written that Jay was in a very fragile, lonely, and most likely depressed state. Koreans have every right to be upset, just please don’t take things to the extreme in which you in turn generalize Korean Americans, Americans, or foreigners all together and cry out for Jay’s blood.

Hopefully, there will be no further backlash against other Korean-Americans or foreigners within the Kpop industry.

2PM’s mood clearly shows the effects the “scandal” has had on them

man..leave him alone damnit. He apologize already and it time to forgive him. and like the korean ppl who say about it...the info is from 2005...and who the hell will look at 2005 comments?? and bring it up now? He was young...and alone in korea..and his family was at the US. I would will feel the same if i were alone in another country..sheez..give him a break. The netizens need to understand and like imagine to be in Jaebum shoes back in 2005...and blaming the whole group?...wtf is their problem. Just forgive and don't keep grudges. Everyone do mistakes..no one is perfect..ppl can change. and Jaebum change since 2005...korean netizens need to like..stop overreacting on this stuff from the past.

    2pm FOREVER!!! :D

I'm scared for jae bum...International fans can understand him...but KOREANS? I think they'll never forgive him...respect and pride matter so much there! If you insult koreans, they'll never forget you! That's how it is...and I have friends in KOREA and they said that Jae's career is over - like everyone hates him not only netizens...It's CULTURE! We can't change a whole country's culture!

but as a HOTTEST, I hope this will be over! I hope koreans can forgive him.

Can't Koreans be forgiving? Seriously, this ruined not only 2PM's reputation but also Koreans themselves. Fancy this, now I'll feel that Koreans are unforgiving and petty (yes I know, not all). Irony.

    2PM FIGHTING!!!

Everyone make mistakes right? Why can't you all have a forgiving heart? If you are really unhappy with what Jay had said before, means you think that you are one. Cause if you are not, you will not care about what he had said right. And whats more, its 4 years ago, who will be so petty and remember that until now. Those who remember means you have someone around you who is someone that Jay mention what Korean is. Get a life Koreans, he already apologised and can't you all just forgive him. Do you mean if someone accidentally bang into you and that person apologised but after a few years later, you remember the incident and you are unhappy about it, you go and find the person again? NO RIGHT, ONLY STUPID PPL WILL DO THAT.

2PM, DON'T WORRY SO MUCH. STAY AS USUAL, BE HAPPY AND COOL.
    JIAYOU AND DON'T GIVE UP.

It is very easy to change a countries culture. Look at Japan, Western Europe, Australia/New Zealand.

The entire regional culture has seen natives, barbarian, Greek, Roman, British, French and American societies dominate and eradicate the prior culture. Look at Hawaii, where Hawaiian is barely spoken.

Another way to change a region's culture is to invade and kill all of previous occupants. That has been done many times in Asia, Europe and Americas. Korea culture can be changed with a few thermo-nuclear bombs in Seoul, Pusan, Incheon and encourage the Norks to invade right after.
