With Narsha of Brown Eyed Girls deceiving the public about her age, it was clarified that members Miryo and Jea are the same age as her (both 29).

The girls came on as guests in the show Food Expedition and revealed their ages. The MC of the show Kim Shin Young said "I thought of Jea and Miryo as friends, but now they are unnis (older girls)". Miryo and Jea said, "The truth is, we were not born in 1983, but we were actually born in 1981, which makes us the same age as Narsha."

Since Kim Shin Young was born in 1984, the BEG members have a 3 year difference with her. The eat-a-lot comedian said, "In regular variety shows, it was very hard for me to act like we were around the same age. Now I will be comfortable and support them as unnis."

The Brown Eyed Girls will be returning with a new track entitled "Sign."

The new track will be part of their re-packaged album Sound G: Repackage, which is slated for release on October 29th, 2009.

The album will also contain a new ballad track "Sleep Drunk (잠에 취해)," and a remixed version of "Abracadabra."

"Sign" is a track by the same composers who created the hits "Abracadabra" and "L.O.V.E" and is said to have a hook which is even more addictive than Abracadabra. The key point of the track will be the lyrics "DaDaDaDaDa" and "DotDotDotDotDot," along with a signing hand gesture. The choreography is sure to be interesting!

Just later it was announced that veteran actor Lee Dong Gun would take part in the music video of the song tomorrow by the group 4tomorrow. After a few moments, the official music video has been released.

On the Second of October, MBC aired "Idol Group Survival: Sweet Girl" as part of their Chuseok special for the Korean holiday. It consists of several members from different girl groups dominating the kpop scene these days.

On this special episode, the girls were to ride a bus and go to random exotic places with unexpected challenges altogether; As the challenges surface slowly one by one those who fail will be eliminated and the last one standing will the hailed the winner or the QUEEN of the all the girl groups.

The 7 girlgroup members for ‘2Days 1Night – Girlgroup edition’ have been decided.

KBS 2TV will be doing a new variety show ‘Youth Undefeatable’ this Autumn and they are taking advantage of the ‘girlgroup craze’ and popularity of ‘reality variety’.

On 5th October, it was announced that, “We have decided that for ‘Youth Undefeatable’, we have 7 members appearing on the show – Seo Hyun, Sunny (SNSD), Goo Hara (KARA), HyunA (4Minute), Narsha (Brown Eyed Girls), HyoMin (T-ara) and Han SeonHwa (Secret).”

And the first filming of the show will take place on 14th October.


One of the staff to the show said, “You can think of this as girlgroup edition of ‘2Days 1Night’ or ‘Experience, life’s real scene’. The members will show a new side of them experiencing the countryside life.”

The first airing will be on 23rd October at 11.05pm.

Brown Eyed Girls' Narsha has actually had more than five male celebrities asking her out.

On the MBC Chuseok variety special "Sweet Girl" that aired October 2, Narsha said that there were "many guys who bothered her" and revealed her increasing popularity with the men.

"There are many men who ask me out lately. I had previously revealed that it was just five men, but I didn't reveal that there have actually been more," revealed Narsha. "There haven't been just singers, but actors too," which made the other 26 girl group members jealous.

On another note, Kara's Park Gyuri revealed, "I've been asked out through a Cyworld minihompy message." Korea's top six girl groups will get together to appear on an MBC-TV entertainment program specially arranged to celebrate the coming "Chuseok" holiday (Korean Thanksgiving Day), a news report said.

All the girl groups are getting popular one after another which is something that has never happened in the Korean entertainment industry before. Right after Girls’ Generation’s Tell Me Your Wish dominated all the music charts in Korea, then the new girl group 2NE1 once again pushed the girl group popularity to another greater height with their song I Don’t Care.

I Don’t Care, being the first hit song of 2NE1’s single not only showed all their fans the real 2NE1, and also took down the most popular music chart for 5 weeks continuously.

The September 26th episode of Champagne was a girl group special with groups like Kara, Brown Eyed Girls, After School, and 4minute.

After collapsing due to fatigue recently, GaIn was discharged from the hospital on 23rd September.

Her company said on 23rd September, “She was discharged in the morning. She is feeling much better now. She don’t feel any different from before. GaIn is very enthusiastic about work, as soon as she was discharged she had rejoined the team to prepare for their public performance.”
