TVXQ fans, who are currently participating in a boycott against all SM Entertainment merchandises, have filed a request for Compensation of Losses to the Korean Consumer Agency for the indefinite postponement of the ‘SM TOWN LIVE 09′ concert that was supposed to happen on 16th August.

TVXQ fans went to the Korean Consumer Agency building in Seoul Seocho-gu to submit the request in person. 1249 fans who booked concert tickets online participated in the request.

Not only did TVXQ fans participate, but fans of other SM Entertainment singers such as SHINee, Super Junior and Girls’ Generation joined in as well.

One representative of DNBN, who led this request to the Korean Consumer Agency, criticized SME by saying, “TVXQ stated numerous times that they would attend this concert to keep their promise with their fans, and SM Entertainment also stated that the concert would go through as planned regardless of the exclusive contract dispute. However, one week before the concert date, SM Entertainment indefinitely postponed the concert absurdly claiming that the singers would not be able to show their unity and friendship because of what was happening with the trial.”

The fans are demanding that SM Entertainment release an official apology and return at least 10% of the ticket price as compensation for “physical and emotional pain the fans suffered through due to things such as the lost ticket cost, time and anticipation for the concert.”

TVXQ fans said, “This is not only a problem between fans and an entertainment agency, this is also a problem between consumers and a company,” and “We are not doing this just because we want our money back, we are doing this because we as consumers cannot sit idly by while a company comes and strips us of our rights.”

They also showed their disappointment and discontent by stating, “We consumers, who were the ones who lost money because SM Entertainment basically canceled the concert after all bookings for tickets were completed, at least tried to strike up talks with their side, but SM Entertainment completely ignored all of our attempts.”

TVXQ fans sent SM Entertainment a certification of contents on the 2nd that requested compensation for the canceling of the concert and was sent by those under the name ‘SM Concert Victims’.

They stated, “This is not the first time SM Entertainment has postponed a summer concert. In 2006, the agency postponed the ‘SM SUMMER TOWN FESTIVAL’, not because of problems with ticketing or funding, but because they wanted to ‘bring a higher quality performance’ and because of bad weather conditions,” and “Because SM Entertainment has been toying with its consumers, it is now time to put an end to this vicious practice.”

The Korean Consumer Agency worker who accepted to look over the request stated that, “We will be inspecting this case in the ‘50 complaints or more’ section,” and “When a staff is designated to oversee the process, we will investigate the happening closely and will settle on a just settlement for the victims of the situation.

One representative stated, “We do not receive complaints at such a large scale usually so we cannot predict how long this process will take,” and “But compensation and consequences will be decided after SM Entertainment proves to the Korean Consumer Agency that they had no choice but to cancel the concert.”

SM Entertainment released an official statement on their website last month stating, “We are very sorry for disappointing the fans who have waiting a long time for this concert,” and indefinitely postponed the ‘SM TOWN LIVE ‘09′ and set up refund methods.

Heechul: Although Hangeng’s korean pronounciation is not as accurate, but when we go on variety shows, he knows where the joke is, he reacts fast too, so the show hosts like him alot! If we talk bad about him, only then does he pretend that he does’nt understand hangul. But, if anyone praises him, he would say “Ahh~ thank you thank you” , ” Ohh~ you’re too kind” he replies very formally. If someone asks him, “Hangeng ah, what happen?” he would say ” I don’t know. I don’t understand?” Once we were both on a variety show, I asked him why he was soo serious on the show, he said that he was suppose to be serious on shows. Haha!

epop (to Eunhyuk) : On variety shows, the impression that Eunhyuk gives us is always funny. Has there been an incident where you were unintentionally funny?



Eunhyuk: I remember once where me and some of our members volunteered to be cheerleaders at a football match. During half-time, we performed. While cheering, a football was suddenly kicked towards us, so i kicked the football back to the stands. I accidentally kicked off my shoe as well when I was kicking the ball back. In the end, both the football and my shoe was flying towards the audience. An audience member caught my shoe and joked that he wasn’t going to give me back my shoe. About 3 minutes later, he threw the shoe back to me.

epop (to Kibum): During SorrySorry promotions, the fans hardly saw you at all, this caused many rumours, would you care to explain?



Kibum: Other than being the Kibum who would stand on stage to perform with SJ, I also want to the Kibum who is a grear actor. I feel that acting means alot to me and that it suits me more. So, personally, I think I like acting better. In the company, the members said that even when all of us turned 30, Super Junior will still go on. So, I would still be participating in SJ’s activities.

epop (to Eeteuk): Among the members, Shindong seems to have lost the most weight. But recently he has been gaining…?



Eeteuk: Remember when Shindong said that he would lose 15kg? Now, he has gained back 20kg. It was actually because of me that he suffered so much when losing weight, I feel very guilty towards him~ At first. he only wanted to lose 5kg. But because i said on a show that he won’t only lost 5kg but more, i also said that he won’t stop losing weight. And, it came out on the newspapers. In the end, he really lost alot of weight, but gained back alot too. Because of the packed schedule we’ve been having, he’s scared that he would faint, he’s really tired. So, he hopes that the next time i go on a show, that i would say that Shindong would lose alot of weight again. So that he would have the motivation to slimdown again.

epop (to Hankyung): As the leader of SJ-M, it seems that you are very popular in HongKong? Do you have any personal goals?



Hankyung: When SJ-M members went to HongKong once for promotion activities, i became the nanny and translator for them. Luckily Henry and Zhoumi knew a little of Cantonese. The funny thing was that i could understand Cantonese well, but when the members spoke it, i couldn’t understand a single thing they were saying! It’s probably because they couldn’t pronounce it correctly. I want to film an action/kungfu movie, because i have learned martial arts and kungfu before, so I feel like filming a kungfu film. I hope to get a chance to work with ChenXiaoLong (famous kungfu chinese actor) and Jackie chan. They are both my most favourite kungfu actors!



epop (to Donghae): What was the first impression that SJ member Kibum gave you?



Donghae: The first time I met Kibum, I thought he was very kindhearted and hardworking. He always works hard to matter what, even when no one notices him. We watch alot of movies together, we play video games together as well. Whenever I’m not sure about something concerning acting, he always patiently teaches me. He has achieved great sucess now, i hope he would work harder and, give a suave side of Kibum for everyone to see.

epop (to Shindong): We’ve heard from the members that you have recently been scolded by your mother, what happened?



Shindong: Because we’ve been doing well with the album sales, so we all got our bonuses, but I didn’t tell my parents and spent it all by myself. Most of the time when our SJ member get bonuses like this, we would give it to our parents. One of the member’s mum called my mother to ask if she had recieved my bonus. So, my mum called me and asked ” Where did you spent the bonus to?” Although I was realy scared at that moment, I still told my mother how i spent the bonus.

Kangin: Yesung’s mum always comes to the dorms to visit us, she is also very bubbly by nature. She would even give us kisses when we are sleeping. I remember once when the our member’s parents had a gathering, the first time Yesung’s mum saw my dad, she said ” Ya, we’re the same age, we should be friends ahh~” When my father heard that, he got a shock. So, he doesn’t come to such gathering again. Haha~

epop (to Ryeowook): What role do you have in the SJ family?



Ryeowook: In the dorms, I am like the nanny to the SJ members. I always think about what to cook for my hyungs to eat. I am the type that gets angry and cook for the members when they are hungry, but too lazy to cook and doesn’t tell me. But when I cook for them, but they don’t eat it, I will be very sad.

Kyuhyun: If i pick either one out of both my parents, they would be angry! So, I shall pick my sister whose age is different from mine by 2 years. (My sister is a big beauty ah!) Popular idol group SNSD's fans in their 30's and 40's, also known as the 'Uncle Corps', can be seen in department stores. Starting from the 28th of last month, customers who make purchases of 400,000 won [~$323] or more get tickets to either the 'SNSD, Kara, Brown Eyed Girls, Shinee Concert', which will take place at the Seoul Olympic Stadium on the 13th, or to the 'Lee Seungchul Concert'. This has caused male fans in their 30's and 40's to come out in full force.

Hyundai Department Stores analyzed data on those who received tickets up until the 2nd and it found that, among the 2979 people that chose the SNSD concert, 58.6% were males. Furthermore, 45% of the males were in their 30's and 40's. On the other hand, 3921 people chose tickets to the 'Lee Seungchul Concert', and 86.2% of them were females. Among them, 53% were females in their 40's and 50's.

The concert is to celebrate Hyundai Department Store's opening of its 'U-Plex' store in Shinchon, which specializes in fashion for young people. The event will continue until the 6th.

Sunny, a member of the popular girl group SNSD, said, 'I want to the youngest forever.'

The showcase for rookie girl group f(x) took place on the 2nd at Samseong-dong Fashion Center's event hall on the third floor. Sunny was an MC at this event and said, 'I'm sad that I'm no longer the youngest in my agency.'

Jaejoong was technically first with his acting foray in “Heaven’s Postman,” but appears that Yunho is next in line to experience the joys of male/female interaction.

In his new drama, Heading to the Ground, Yunho locks lips with the lovely Lee Yoon Ji. With all the action these guys have been getting in the drama realm, it’s a wonder they want to resume singing activities at all. I bet you were just as excited as can be, right U-Know?

The power of TVXQ has saved the staff of HTTG from shelling out 200 million Won to film the drama.

MBC’s new Wednesday-Thursday miniseries (Written by Kim Solji, Directed by Park Sungsoo) stars TVXQ’s leader Jung Yunho (U-Know Yunho) as the lead role. On August 31st, approximately 4000 fans flocked to the Seoul Sangam World Cup Stadium for the open filming of to cheer Jung Yunho on. Usually, extras are paid 50,000 to 60,000 Won per person ($40~$48) and to fill the stadium with extras would have cost the staff of the drama 200 million Won. However, they did not have to pay this amount of money thanks to TVXQ fans.

One representative of stated, “It is an absolute must to have a scene that shows soccer fans cheering in which revolves around soccer. Thanks to the fact that we casted Jung Yunho in this drama, we don’t have to worry about paying extras. Because the fans have diligently created various cheers for TVXQ during their concerts, they were complete pros when it came to cheering. We didn’t need to guide them at all.“
