The upcoming drama, Iris, has been gathering much attention in past months for its new action genre (and Big Bang's "bad boy" T.O.P as a cast member) but like all other dramas, there is a love story which Baek Ji Young expresses through "Don't Forget" off the Iris OST (Official SoundTrack).


"Don't Forget" is the love theme song for the main character Kim Hyun Joon (Lee Byung Hun) and Choi Seung Hee (Kim Tae Hee). The music video for the song contains the typical drama style: it contains scenes from the drama giving you a sneak peek before its premiere (which is tommorrow!). However, I personally find that the music video for Baek Ji Young's "Don't Forget" focuses a lot more on the Kim-Choi love story, fading the song into the background often, with a lot more talking (warning: contains a lot of spoilers... that is, if you understand Korean!). After Baek Ji Young's techno-based "My Ear's Candy" from her mini-album Ego (featuring Ok Taecyeon of 2 PM), "Don't Forget" is a refreshing change and a beautiful love ballad as well. The first episode of SBS variety show "strong heart" took place last 24th of September. Even before the episode was aired it already garnered much anticipation from fans; Starting of with the mc's of the show which are Kang Ho Dong and Lee Seung Gi, that enough is sure to make a buzz out of the show.

The variety show "strong heart" is said to be a one on one battle show where 24 different guests come and participate in it and talk more about their experiences in their social life. So more or less its a talk show about celebrities and their life as entertainers.

Some of the celebrities who participated in the filming of the first ever episode of strong heart were: GDragon, SeungRi, Epik High, Baek Ji Young, Jang YoonJeong, HyunYeong, Solbi and more.

Singer Lee Seung Gi, has been labeled the blue chip of the MC world in Korean entertainment. He will be working with seonbae Baek Ji Young as MCs for ‘Shall We Dance’.

Lee Seung Gi and Baek Ji Young will be the MCs to the chuseok special ‘Shall We Dance’ with which the airing will take place on 2nd October.

‘Shall We Dance’ is an annual chuseok special show which sees the participation of stars and celebrity taking on various dance sports challenges.


Lee Seung Gi is currently the MCs to the variety shows KBS ‘2 days 1 night’ and recently jumped on board as MC with Kang Ho Dong on SBS ‘Strong Heart’. Known for her support to fellow 2PM member Taecyeon during this rough time in these boy's lives, Baek Ji Young has expanded her love for the boys by sending an encouraging message to Jaebum. Check out her full message below:

Jaebum is accepting the mistake and is thoroughly regretting it. It’s upsetting to see people criticizing him from a view point of their hearts about one mistake caused through a historical misunderstanding when he was young. Looking at sincere and kind Taecyeon who I’m promoting with, it’s a worry if the spirited, professional and good image of the sincere leader Jaebum that lead them will be forgotten because of this case caused by a mistake. It hurts my heart and it is unfortunate to see the passions and efforts of a Hoobae (junior) singer that were accumulated for a long time collapse in one moment through a mistake. As a singer he has taken the decision whether he’ll continue his promotions so I would like it if those around him did not break his free will and his wings. Jaebum-ah.. Baek Ji Young is enjoying her performance with Mighty Mouth’s Sangchu so much more than she did with 2PM’s Taec. Her constant smiling, her little love looks at Sangchu makes me think these two have something going on behind the scenes. Sangchu messed up a couple of times and his outfit literally burned my eyes. I mean what in Gandhi’s name are you wearing?

Singer Baek Ji Young has revealed her shock about not receiving any bad comments or bashes from fans for working with 2PM member TaekYeon for a sexy collaboration of ‘My Ear’s Candy’ recently.

She was on KBS Star Golden Bell aied on 29th August where she revealed the responses of fans of TaekYeon.

She was expecting bashes and hate comments from fans since she not only did a featuring with TaekYeon on the song, they also did various sexy dance moves on stage while performing it.

She said, “I expected bashes from TaekYeons’ fans but instead I get requests from fans to take good care of their oppa. They thought of me like a mother.”

With that MC Kim JaeDong said, “I think that even if you are the same age as TaekYeon, fans will not mind as much too.”

Singer Baek Ji Young has shown her liking for 2NE1 member CL.

Back Ji Young was on KBS 2TV Entertainment Weekly aired on 8th August when she said, “2NE1 CL is really good. We have taken part in the KBS 2TV mid year special episode’s filming together. I would, and I still, worry about appearing awkward if I am to appear on Music Bank one day.”

She continued, “As compared to be being awkward on stage, I would worry about why I am standing on the stage without a purpose. Because of the thought of not wanting to be a dance singer like everyone else.”



“Thinking about all the days gone by, there are many people who understands me through my music. And the unfairness about passing the 20s mark? I have already forgotten. I used to think that it is a peak time. But now I understand that it is not. I’m enjoying this peak time now.”

Baek Jiyoung's mini-album will be selling in stores on the 13th, with the title song, "My Ear Candy". The plan is to feature Taecyeon in the music video, of course, but also in all of her music performances.

Baek Jiyoung and Taecyeon recorded SBS "Kim Jung Eun's Chocolate" on the 5th and performed "My Ear Candy". During the song, Taecyeon put his hand on Baek Jiyoung's waist and revealed a bold, sexy dance.

A representative from Baek Jiyoung's company said, "We needed a person to fit Baek Jiyoung's mature, but feminine charisma on stage" and "also someone to bring a manly charm and intense stage. Taecyeon seemed to be the best fit amongst fans, so we asked him to feature in the song".



On the other hand, Baek Jiyoung is planning to make her comeback performance on the 15th at MBC's "Show Music Core".

Singer Jiyoung (Baek) and Tiffany take a challenge on acting.

They are about to make cameo appearance in SBS drama <JaMyoungGo>. Their voices are already well known to the viewers through the drama's O.S.T, and now they are about to make their faces known. One of the staff said, “We are examining the possibility of Jiyoung and Tiffany's special appearance. We are not going to create new characters specially designed for them, but are going to pick characters that fit them best from the original script".

<Jamyoungo> is doing poorly in terms of TV ratings despite of the great cast including Jung Ryeowon, Jung Kyungho, Moon Sungguen, Lee Misook, and etc, because MBC's <Queen of Housewives> dominated Mon-Tue drama time slot.

<Jamyoungo> selected Jiyoung and Tiffany as helpers to keep their viewers away from <Queen Sunduck> that newly started on the 25th of May. The official said, "We are discussing characters and schedules in more detail. They are going to play roles that extend from singers' charisma"

Newcomer female group 2NE1 is #1 on Mnet music chart for the 2nd week consecutive.

Their debut song ‘Fire’ is up at #1 position on the chart for the 3rd week of May. The debut song of the group has gave good results to be up on the chart for 2 weeks consecutively. While the CM song ‘Lollipop’ they sang together with Big Bang has fell 3 positions to be at #11, staying on the chart for its 9th week.
