2NE1 Sandara Park talks about the opportunity she was given to be a singer. For the 2nd episode of Strong Heart aired on SBS on 13th October, Sandara Park said, “I came down to Korea from the Philippines and Yang HyunSeok who trains singers in Hiphop music told me, ‘You cannot be a singer’.”
She added, “So he persuaded me to do acting. And then when they decided to form a new girlgroup, I was anticipating but I was not given any opportunities to practise.” “And there was once a chance where I can go sing at the karaoke with Se7en and GDragon. I thought if I do well at the karaoke session, I may be given some opportunity. So I prepared a song and went with them and the atmosphere was fun and then I said ‘I want to try for once’.”
She continued, “After a few days, I filmed in the practice room and showed to president Yang and for the first time he said, ‘I saw potential in you. I am going to give you a month’s time’. And with that I became a singer.”
Meanwhile, during the episode, the 2NE1 members each revealed some truthful talks and also powerful dance performances.

Joseph Bitangcol was asked about the present status of his relationship with Sandara Park who is now famed in Korea as a member of the girl band 2ne1.
He said, “We are okay. We are good friends.”
Do they still have communication?
He said, “We don’t have communication right now. She is busy with her career in Korea…”
Joseph said that he wasn’t able to get the new mobile number of Sandara the last time they had a reunion with other Star Circle Quest members (when Sandara had a three-day vacation last August of this year).
Joseph said, “I thought she is still using her old mobile number (which we use for exchanging communication) but I found out after she left that she already changed her number. When we met up, I was quite reserved as her road manager was always around. The two of us did not have a chance to have private talk. The next day, we planned on going out. I thought we would have a chance to talk but it did not push through.”
Is it possible for their love relationship to be renewed?
Joseph answered, “It is still uncertain. It is difficult at this point as she is preoccupied with her career in Korea. If we will get back together, it would be a long distance affair; it would be difficult. But I’m not closing my doors on the possibility of getting back together.
Does he still love Sandara?
He answered, “Yes, the love is still there. Our relationship lasted for three years. It was the longest relationship that I had. In all the girlfriends that I had, she is the one I loved the most. I still think of her. There are times that I would think of her condition, if she is doing okay.”
Did he regret parting ways with Sandara?
He said, “The reason for regret is knowing the fact that she is loyal. If you get to know her, you would know that Sandy is indeed a wife material (possesses the good traits of a wife). I am saddened because she could have been a fitting lifetime partner (a wife). We both know the reason of our break up. It was a mutual decision.”
Since the break up is already a long time ago, will he be able to share the reason behind it?
Joseph begged off, “It is better not to share it and just keep it to ourselves (him & Sandara).”
After news went out that GDragon and Sandara Park will once again perform their collaboration ‘Hello’ on coming Chuseok special SBS ‘Idol Big Show’, a photo of the performance which was revealed has caught the attention of many netizens.

This will be the 2nd time the 2 will perform the song ‘Hello’ after the first live performance of it on Global Gathering recently.

Who would have thought that yet another track from YG Entertainment would be accused of plagiarism this week? Up on the chopping block this time is 2NE1’s Sandara Park and her solo single “Kiss” feat. CL. Netizens have begun to say that this recent track is another case of YG plagiarism from a Western artist, this time from Sean Kingston’s “Take You There“. They say this section of Park’s song is plagiarized- “Love is Dangerous / Your eyes are so poisonous / now shaking Two of us / But we just feel so good”.
Look, I don’t know what’s going on with the producers or the netizens or Mr. YG himself; but something needs to change if Kpop ever hopes to be taken seriously on the world stage. 2NE1 member Sandara Park’s solo debut song ‘Kiss’ has went up to #1 on the 2nd week of September on Mnet weekly chart on Mnet.com for its first week on the chart.
The song ‘Kiss’ went up to the #1 spot 4 days after its first reveal, and also the MV to the song which features Boys Over Flowers actor Lee MinHo revealed on 10th September has also gained the song much interests.
With that Kim TaeWoo is at #2 with his comeback song ‘Love Rain’ rising up 20 positions, singer Lee SeungChul’s ‘Love is Difficult’ also rose up 40 positions to be at #8.
On the chart this week, it seems that the solo singers are gaining the influence in Kpop – of the top 10 positions, 5 positions were occupied by solos singers. This is something new from the era of the girlgroups in summer.
GDragon has fallen 2 positions down to #3 with his solo debut song ‘Heartbreaker’ and another solo singer Baek Ji Young is up #7 with ‘My Ear’s Candy’.
And 8eight member Lee Hyun’s solo debut ‘30 minutes ago’ is also doing strong at #10 for its first week on the chart.
YG artistes GDragon and Sandara Park are recently in the spotlight for their comical caps.
GDragon was seen wearing a cap with the words ‘Got-mi-nam’ or short of ‘becoming a pretty boy at once’ when he went up on stage to receive his 2nd Mutizen on 13th September.

The song ‘Kiss’ is #1 up on Monkey3 chart for the 2nd week of September, taking GDragon’s ‘Heartbreaker’ off the #1 spot on the chart after 3 weeks.
The song was revealed on 7th September and it has received overwhelming responses, going up to the #1 spot on real time charts, and daily charts. And it is considered a feat given that Sandara will not be performing the song on broadcast shows.
Also, the MV to the song ‘Kiss’ also features actor Lee MinHo and the 2 had locked lips for more than 100 times for the filming of the MV.

Dara's solo song, "Kiss" was featured in the CF / MV Teaser as well, as the lyrics of a girl needing her man to be more aggressive, and just simply kissing her corresponded to the overall plot.
According to Monkey3(www.monkey3.co.kr), Sandara Park’s "Kiss" went on the chart at #23 on the day of release on th September. And it went up the chart very fast and took the #1 position from G-Dragon with his solo song "Heartbreaker".

YG Entertainment has revealed that Sandara Park will be coming out with her own solo digital single named "Kiss!"
With 2NE1 scoring success with their song "I Don't Care," they have been working hard on the rest of the songs they will be performing in the upcoming months. Dara's solo song named "Kiss," was originally planned to be included in the new 2NE1 album due in October. "Kiss" is written by no other than Teddy himself, who composed most of the 2NE1's songs.
There were recent talks about Park Bom or CL releasing their own solos in the near future, but YG Entertainment caught us off guard by announcing a solo song for Dara before the other members.
The song is said to be very catchy and danceable, just like "Lollipop," and it is to have CL featured as a rapper. It's pretty much about a girl wanting the guy to be more aggressive, and wanting him to kiss her.
YG Entertainment stated, "All the members of 2NE1 have their own strong style. Starting with "Kiss," we will slowly unveil the other members' talents and styles."
2NE1 is scheduling to perform "Pretty Boy" on Ingikayo this week. They are performing each song on the album week by week, as a gesture of appreciation to the fans.
