Photographs of a fully-recovered and chic-looking SS501 leader Kim Hyun-joong on set for a television commercial shoot were revealed on Thursday.

"We released the photos for fans who had been curious about Kim," said global cosmetics brand Tony Moly of the 23-year-old singer who turned up for a shoot last week.

The singer had halted all activities since early September after falling ill with the influenza flu while in Japan to promote his KBS hit TV series "Boys Over Flowers". He was discharged from the hospital with a clean bill of health but had not made a public appearance.

"We were in shoot from early morning to late at night but Kim did not seem tired and was having fun," a Tony Moly official at the scene of the shoot was quoted as saying.

The commercial is set for release in November.

Meanwhile, all five members of SS501 will perform at the Taipei Arena on Saturday. They have been on their "SS501 Asia Tour Persona 2009" since early August where they are set to perform at a total of 10 countries throughout Asia till early next year.

They are also set to make a comeback to the local music scene on October 20 with a new mini-album.

Following the unfortunate footsteps of SS501 leader Kim Hyun-joong, K.Will has become the next major Korean celebrity to become diagnosed with the virus. The 28 year old was currently planning this second comeback for October 22nd but all promotions have come to a halt.

His management company says “he has been working overnight to prepare for his 2nd full length album. In an effort to make better music he was commonly overworking. Currently, his fever has subsided but we still have to wait until the rest of the medical examination results come. We are not sure when his actual comeback date will be .”

1. Yunho – “Heading to the Ground” isn’t exactly a big hit, but netizens love their U-Know, you know (whose idea was that name?). Fans believe his acting skills will become positively Shakespearean with time. He’s also hot.

2. Micky Yoochun - Not the one from Dong Bang Shin Ki I would have picked for a solo singing career, but perhaps it’s the power of the pimp hand.

Not disappointed that she beat out Sohee for this spot; whenever I see Sunye perform (especially solo) she does have a certain “something” that lends itself to her charisma and nice vocal skills. I could see this happening in the future.

6. Taeyeon – She’s got the vocal chops, therefore crowning her the rising ballad queen. Taeyeon also has a good reputation with the public, so out of the Soshis, she could be the most successful.

7. Yoona – Netizens think she may eventually be in league with actresses Jeon Ji Hyun and Kim Tae Hee. Really? Ok, well I can accept more as an actress than actress/singer, but she has received an unprecedented amount of attention considering her resume. She’s got plenty of time to prove herself, and I think she’ll be one of the first to break away for good in order to do so.

Road safety campaign was launched on 30-Sep at SeoWoon Stadium Park area.

Brian from Fly to the sky, ShinDong from dance group Super Junior, Kim HyungJoon from SS501, and other popular singers attended to the campaign on this day.

They gave out promotional materials on the importance of road safety to the citizens, introduced methods in minimizing traffic accidents, and done many other publicity.

Gyeyang Police Station Chief Officer Park Jong Eui said “Launching the campaign with entertainers whom we (citizens) are familiar with, the response from the citizens are very good. We will do our best in the prevention of traffic accidents in the future too.”

Seo Hyo-rim (The World They Live In) and SS501 member Kim Kyu-jong have been cast to act together in something that has me curious — a “web toon drama” (a drama that is based on a manhwa) that mixes animation with live action.

The fantasy series is called SETI [세티], which stands for Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence, and is the latest work of writer Yoon Tae-ho, who is famous for his manhwa Ikki [이끼]. Seo Hyo-rim and Kim Kyu-jong play a couple who are a part of an alien-watch club, and the production will enter filming this week. The series will be released online every Tuesday and Friday beginning October 6, for a total of 16 episodes.

In ‘Family Outing’, a section off SBS ‘Sunday is Good’ broadcasted on 27-Sep, Kim HyunJoong prepared breakfast with Yoon JongShin, Lee Hyori, Big Bang Seungri (real name Lee SeungHyun).

The Family members engage in a game of face wrapping.

On SBS Family Outing aired on 27th September, the Family members did the face wrap game for their morning duties. Viewers were surprised at how even the idol singers on the show joined the game revealing their funny face wrap without hesitation.

For this episode, SS501 member Kim Hyun Joong and Big Bang SeungRi, who stood in for DaeSung, also joined the game.

For the male Family members, forcing their face through the wrap was easy,but for the female Family members Lee Hyori and Park ShiYeon, it was rather humiliating for them during the game, because it was not as easy as they thought to force their face through the wrap.

Korea popular group SS501's Kim HyunJoong participated in SBS variety show 'Family Outing' showing his excellent skills. This episode received wide attention due to the appearance of Kim HyunJoong who was diagnose with AH1N1 in Japan early this month.

The Family Outing episode you all have been waiting for has arrived ladies and gentlemen. For those of you who haven’t keeping up with the show, Big Bang’s Daesung recently got into a car accident and while he heals, the group’s maknae, Seungri has taken his place. So in the first clip, the cast goes all giddy when he jumps out of the car, decked out in a suit and all and though he’s kind of the special guest on the show, he gets completely overshadowed when the next van pulls up with pretty boy Hyun Joong in it. 5 member male idol group SS501 will release their new album as planned this month.

SS501’s company DSP Entertainment senior management representative said to MoneyToday StarNews on 16-Sep “SS501 will release their new album this month. This is a decision made with sufficient discussions with SS501 members including Kim HyunJoong. We had already announced about the album release to be in mid of this month.”

Initially, the new album release is said to be delayed due to Kim HyunJoong’s infection of H1N1 influenza in Japan. However, Kim HyunJoong has recovered fully and was being discharged from the hospital on 15-Sep, he showed strong will to get into activities thus has decided to go ahead with the new album release this month as planned. SS501’s new release is going to be a full-length official album.

SS501 Kim HyunJoong who is receiving medical treatment in Japan will return to Korea.

Kim HyunJoong, member of SS501, had been confirmed with infection of H1N1 influenza virus in Japan, was discharged on 12-Sep.

Some media reported that Kim HyunJoong will be discharged on 15-Sep but he was already discharged on 12-Sep. He is staying in Japan with his manager to take a break before returning. Kim HyunJoong has to undergo few more check-ups after being discharged and will return to Korea on 16-Sep.

Kim HyunJoong has since fully recovered.

Kim HyunJoong developed high fever during the promotion event of drama ‘Boys over Flowers’ in Yokohama Japan on 5th and 6th Sep.

He finished all his scheduled work, however because of his high fever after the event, he was sent to the emergency unit of a nearby hospital where he was confirmed with infection of H1N1 influenza virus.

KAC representative revealed to Money Today Star News on 9-Sep “We heard that Kim HyunJoong was infected with H1N1. However, this will not affect Kim HyunJoong and his group SS501’s status as our ambassadors will remain unchanged.”

In order to take care of her precious son, Kim Hyun Joong’s mother immediately flew to Japan to take care of her son the moment the news came out.

After hearing that her son needs to be treated for more than half a month, Kim Hyun Joong’s mother immediately boarded the plane and rushed to Japan to accompany him.
